Enter the main public IP address for a server to check if it has a valid cPanel product license.
License information is provided as a history with the top entry being the most recent. The current status of the license will be shown in bold. The license holder is shown as the entity that the license is licensed through. If a license is using a package *-INTERNAL, this means that the server is located in the license holder's data center.
If you are the owner of a license and the status is different than what you are expecting, you may contact billing@cpanel.net to determine the cause of this difference.
Troubleshooting: If your license lists as active and you see this error when trying to access cPanel or WHM: License File Expired, you will want to ensure that port 2089 is open for outbound TCP traffic. After verifying that port 2089 is open, check to make sure that this command gives the IP that you expect: lynx -dump http://www.cpanel.net/showip.cgi. If that command shows the expected IP, run this from the command line as root, on the server: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt. If you are still having troubles, please Open a Support Request.
